Jamie and Reinee’s passion for creating a welcoming café on the Capricorn Coast was at the heart of building the Ol’ Coterie brand. With a focus on healthy, wholefood options and their signature mushroom-infused coffee, the brand needed to reflect both warmth and uniqueness.
To capture this, we chose an earthy colour palette paired with retro-inspired fonts, creating a visual identity that feels both inviting and distinct. Scalability was a key consideration—ensuring the brand could grow alongside the business while working seamlessly across various applications, from coffee cups and signage to apparel and retail merchandise.
The result is a brand that’s versatile, memorable, and ready to evolve with Ol’ Coterie’s future plans.

Ol’ Coterie has a fun, laid-back, and slightly retro vibe, which we wanted to capture in a way that would resonate with customers and highlight their signature mushroom-infused coffee. To do this, we developed their very own mascot—Mushman.
Mushman brings a playful and engaging element to the brand, embodying Ol’ Coterie’s unique personality. Designed in a variety of poses for versatile use across marketing materials, merchandise, and signage, Mushman adds flair and a touch of whimsy, helping the brand stand out while delighting customers.
To enhance the customer experience and streamline operations, we implemented an online table reservation system for Ol’ Coterie that benefits both staff and patrons.
The setup included mapping out the café’s layout, allowing staff to easily assign bookings to specific tables while accounting for key areas—such as the dog-friendly section. By integrating online and offline reservations into one system, the café team can now manage bookings effortlessly, ensuring smooth service and efficient table turnover.
The result is a user-friendly booking process for customers and an organised, stress-free system for staff.
