Upstart Lane builds websites, brands and digital for businesses that would rather invest once in something proper than patch together something cheap and do it twice.

Most studios pass you down a line. A salesperson takes the brief, a designer never speaks to you, a developer builds from notes, and something gets lost at every seam. Upstart Lane doesn't work that way. The person who asks about your customers and your goals is the same person who designs the pages and builds the site. Nothing gets lost in a handover, because there isn't one.

When a project needs skills beyond our lane, we bring in and manage trusted people to cover them. You still deal with one person who owns the outcome, you've just got a bigger bench behind the work. A studio with a network, not a middleman passing you around.

Run by Kat.

I'm Kat Price, and Upstart Lane is mine. I've spent more than fifteen years across marketing, design, web and product work, for privately owned businesses, universities, and local and state government, with a long run in higher education along the way. My early background is in public relations, journalism and IT, and that mix is the whole job: understanding what people actually need, then building the thing that delivers it.

I started Upstart Lane to do that work the way it should be done, close to the client, built properly, and answerable to one person. Me.
